Overview
PulseDev is a desktop app. It runs a small server on your own machine, and the widget on your local site talks only to that server. The server accepts connections only from your own machine unless you turn on Allow network access in the app's settings, for example to test on your phone; the project token is required either way. Code changes are made by the coding agent you choose (Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI or OpenCode), which runs on your machine in your project folder. This policy explains what leaves your machine, who receives it, and how to delete what stays.
How PulseDev Works
When you leave feedback on an element, the widget sends it to the PulseDev server running on your machine. The server starts your agent in your project folder and gives it a prompt with your feedback and the context the widget captured: the page URL, the element’s selector and markup, styles, recent console errors and failed requests, a page outline and a screenshot of the element.
Your agent works like it does in your terminal. It can read and edit files in your project folder, and it sends prompts and file contents to its own vendor to do the work. PulseDev does not run its own AI service and never receives your code or prompts.
What Leaves Your Machine
Your Coding Agent
Whatever your agent sends to its vendor is governed by that vendor’s terms and privacy policy, not ours. That includes the prompt PulseDev builds and any files the agent reads. Check the policy of the agent you use (links below).
License Checks
On Pro and Lifetime, the app contacts pulsedev.app to activate and validate your license. It sends your license key, an instance ID and a device label such as “PulseDev on macOS”. pulsedev.app passes these to LemonSqueezy to confirm the license. The Free plan makes no license calls.
When you open the License screen, the app also loads current prices from pulsedev.app. This sends nothing about you beyond the IP address that comes with any web request.
Update Checks
The app checks cdn.pulsedev.app for new versions and downloads updates from there. Like any web request, this shares your IP address with our hosting provider.
Nothing Else
The app has no telemetry, usage analytics or crash reporting. It contacts pulsedev.app only for license checks and prices, and cdn.pulsedev.app only for updates. Fonts and other assets are bundled with the app.
Data We Collect
Purchases
When you buy a license, LemonSqueezy collects your name, email address and payment details as our merchant of record. We receive your email, your order and your license key. We never see your card details.
Website Analytics
pulsedev.app uses OpenPanel for cookieless page analytics, which we host ourselves, so the data is not shared with an analytics company. It sets no cookies and does not track you across sites. We see page views, referrers, clicks on buttons and links, and anonymous recordings of how pages are used (session replay), which help us improve the site.
Data on Your Machine
The app keeps its data in the ~/PulseDev folder in your home directory: your project list and tokens, your annotations and their history, element screenshots and your settings. This data stays on your machine until you delete it. Uninstalling the app does not delete it.
To delete it, quit PulseDev and delete the ~/PulseDev folder. Removing a project in the app takes it off your project list, but its annotations and screenshots stay in the folder until you delete them.
Data Retention
We keep purchase and license records for as long as your license is active, and longer where tax or accounting law requires it. We do not store your code, prompts or annotations, because they never reach us.

Coding Agents
These run on your machine and send data to their own vendors under their own policies.

Our Processors
- LemonSqueezy: merchant of record. Handles checkout, payments, tax and license keys. LemonSqueezy’s privacy policy.
- Cloudflare: hosts pulsedev.app and cdn.pulsedev.app. Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
International Transfers
We are based in the United Kingdom. LemonSqueezy and Cloudflare are based in the United States, so data they handle may be processed there. These transfers are covered by the UK–US data bridge or by standard contractual clauses with the UK addendum, as set out in each provider’s data processing terms.
Your Rights
You can ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to or ask us to restrict how we use it, by emailing [email protected]. Everything on your machine is yours to delete yourself (see Data on Your Machine).
International Privacy Rights
European Users (GDPR)
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the right to access, rectify, port or delete your personal data, to restrict how we process it, and to object to processing based on legitimate interest. Our lawful basis for processing is contractual necessity (license fulfillment) and legitimate interest (website analytics). The data controller is Perlat Kociaj, based in the United Kingdom. California Users (CCPA)
California residents may request disclosure of the categories of personal information we collect and request deletion. We do not sell personal information. Contact [email protected] to make a request.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
